American Idol winner Phillip Phillips’ coronation single “Home” has had a few different identities. It started as that surprisingly not-terrible American Idol coronation song. Then, it became known as the ethereal strumfest synonymous with the Olympic gymnastics. Now, it’s just a big old hit.

After being downloaded 81,000 times this week (a healthy increase of 2 percent from the week prior), “Home” has officially been certified double platinum for 2 million downloads, making it the first Idol coronation song to ever reach that level.

Understandably, American Idol is already boasting about Phillips’ success. Today, the singing competition unveiled their first commercial for the upcoming 12th season of Idol, and it’s all about Phillips’ journey to the top (and, thankfully, not the squabbling judges):

Remarkably, Phillips is the first American Idol to ever crack the Triple-A (Adult Album Alternative) radio chart, which has always been reluctant to play music by reality show alums. But “Home” fits perfectly into the Mumford-y Americana wave that’s sweeping the country and the song climbed from No. 5 to No. 4 on that format this week. It is also currently No. 4 on the Hot Adult Contemporary chart and No. 23 on the Pop chart. On the all-genre Hot 100, it climbed as high as No. 8 following its Olympic exposure.

The fact that “Home” took so long to blossom into a nationwide hit works in the label’s favor, since his debut album The World from the Side of the Moon (due Nov. 19) gets to enter the market while his single is still relevant.

And boding well for Phillips is the fact that – as I mentioned above – he falls into the Americana/alternative genre, which tends to sell more albums than singles. (See: The Lumineers, whose debut will likely go Gold before the year ends). Might it be the case that Phillips’ album sales are as impressive as his single sales? We’ll find out soon!

Phillips also took to Twitter this afternoon to unveil the tracklist of his album. They are as follows:
